Chinese scientific research institutions will evaluate the world blockchain project

On May 12th, a state-owned research institute supervised by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced that it will conduct a monthly assessment of the blockchain project.

On a seminar hosted by the China Electronic Information Industry Development (CCID) on Friday, the initiative will promote an independent rating system – just like Moody’s or Standard & Poor’s.

The system is known as the “Global Public Link Assessment Index” and will first focus on 28 major blockchain projects to see their technical capabilities and applications.

Founded in 1995, CCID is the designated scientific research institute of MIIT and is responsible for technology research and development, decision-making and software testing in various industries.
